HEV/ EV Department

SEI Automotive Europe GmbH develops cable sets and components for use in the high-voltage range within the automotive industry.

The HEV/EV Department assumes responsibility for the development of innovative high-voltage systems for use in modern hybrid and electric vehicles. It supports all the Group’s European customer centres in the field of high-voltage systems.

This department focuses particularly on the development of innovative, highly efficient components and the optimisation of electrical and electronic systems, with the aim of reducing vehicle CO₂ emissions.

The systems and components developed by HEV/EV are tested and validated using simulations and in-house hardware tests, in close collaboration with the customer.

SEI Automotive Europe GmbH is part of the global Sumitomo Electric Industries network, and coordinates development activities in the field of HEV/EV with the Group’s international development sites.
